Winifred School Voters—Important Election Info
Ballots for the Winifred School Trustee Election have been mailed.
Completed ballots must be mailed or dropped off at the Fergus County Courthouse:
712 West Main Street, Suite 205, Lewistown, MT
no later than 8:00 p.m. on Election Day, Tuesday, May 5, 2026.
If you are mailing your ballot, please send it at least one week before Election Day to ensure it
arrives on time.

Do NOT bring your ballot to Winifred School!!!!!

Important – New Montana Requirement (effective after the 2025 Legislative Session):
You must:
 Sign your name on the affirmation line
 Write your birth year on the return signature envelope
Ballots will not be counted if the birth year is missing.
Please make sure your ballot is completed correctly and submitted on time. Thank you for your

Pre-Festival Music Concert TODAY in the Winifred Library begins at 2:30.

We are hosting sports physicals and concussion screening at the school in Winifred for the 2026-27 Sports Year on Monday August 3 from 8:30 - 2:00. Please contact Occupational Health at 406-538-4110 to schedule your appointment today. $20 is due at the time of the physical and the proceeds will be gifted back to the school's athletic program. All students participating in a sport at the school are REQUIRED to have a sports physical and concussion screening completed PRIOR to the 1st practice.

The 96th annual Montana FFA State Convention has come to a close! Winifred was recognized as a Superior Chapter in the state of Montana, and we saw some great competitive success this year. We couldn't be more proud of our members! Besides the competitions, these members attended workshops, made new friends from all over Montana, and participated in the day of service. We also got to celebrate Maggie B. receiving her State Degree, the highest honor a state can bestow on its members. Two alumni of our program, Joel Warneke and Emma Lou Slivka, we're also recognized for earning the American Degree, the highest honor that National FFA can award. Individual Results: Jen E. - 3rd place Sr Creed Speaking Ashton W. - 8th place Agronomy Team Results: Mechanics - 4th overall Marketing plan - 8th Floriculture - 29th Vet Science - 22nd Agronomy - 21st Meats Evaluation - 28th Forestry - 11th Sales - 40th

State Convention has begun! Here are some highlights from Day 1! Ag Sales, Meats Evaluation, Parliamentary Procedure, Marketing Plan, and Creed Speaking have all already competed! We saw some great success with Jen E. advancing to the Final 4 for Creed Speaking (a huge honor that that no Winifred member has achieved in over 10 years). The Junior Ag Mechanics Show also went well with the Gooseneck Trailer built by our Fabrication Technology class earning a blue ribbon and placing Third in the Trailers Division!
