Attention Parents,
We apologize for the lack of communication due to the power outage this morning. The backup generator did not perform as expected and we were unable to get communication out to everyone about the plans for school today. In the Future, School will be in session as scheduled in our School Calendar, unless you are informed otherwise. Students that did not make it to school today will NOT be marked absent.
We are working to remedy the generator issues and once resolved the generator will run in accordance with our design, and we will be able to have school in the event of an area wide power outage.
Winifred School will be in session as scheduled tomorrow, May 9th. If we lose power before tomorrow morning we will cancel school at 6 am, as we have not been able to remedy the generator issues at this point. Please feel free to contact the school with any questions or concerns.
